We have played for several weddings at The Minneapolis Event Center location, specifically, over the years and it has become one of our favorite ceremony and reception venues. Therefore, we thought we'd offer some insights into why this gem is a venue for anyone to consider:
It accommodates parties of any size. The Minneapolis Event Center is one of those wedding venues that looks big on the outside but is really intimate once you're in. With an open floor plan and beautiful atrium that opens to a fully luxuriant garden, the space is breathtaking both inside and out. We always feel like we're attending a very special event when walking up to the modern and rather large exterior before finding our way to the more personal ceremony space inside. We would imagine your guests would feel the same.
Live music sounds great. Open, stone-faced rooms echo like a canyon. Many wood-surfaced rooms are dry. There are always pros and cons to the acoustics a room has to offer. To be honest, we haven't gone around examining the structure of each space in Minneapolis Event Centers, but we can attest to the fact that live music works at this place! As musicians, we love playing in spaces that make it easy for everyone in the room to enjoy the music to the fullest.
Location, location. Whether it's for pre-wedding pictures or a free afternoon for the out-of-towners, you and your guests will have full access to things like the Stone Arch Bridge, St. Anthony Falls, the well-loved Aster and Wilde Roast Cafes, and the beautiful Minneapolis skyline.
